At St. Joe Hospitality, we provide our associates with opportunities to give back to the community, as well as raise public awareness of different charities in our area through our Community Involvement Committee (CIC). Our intention is to make a difference while bringing associates together in fun and service.
CIC started in 2015 and began with a need and desire to have a personal responsibility to our community; to support growth and goodwill as an organization. With St. Joe Hospitality having such a vast portfolio of properties, there was also a need to organize and monitor our combine our donation and volunteer efforts.
The committee coordinates a number of varied fun events and activities throughout the year, serving a wide population in Walton and Bay Counties. The committee selects focus areas on a two-year rotation. For 2018-2019, we are partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Walton County and Westonwood Ranch. We are proud to announce our commitment to provide volunteers and support to assist these organizations.
Participation in CIC is open to all associates of St. Joe Hospitality through two levels of participation:
Active service – Working with causes that the committee selects by donating time, talent and/or money. Some examples include organizing, setting up and assisting women in a clothing drive for underprivileged individuals who are job seekers
Passive service – Donating food, clothing or money in lieu of doing actual labor. A perfect example is contributing to a food drive for Panama City Rescue Mission.
