Newsletter

From the President:

Dear Brothers,
This is the first of hopefully many mini newsletters that will keep you informed of the events and functions the club is providing. The New Year’s Eve and Valentine's Day Dance were well attended. If you missed these events you missed a great time and delicious meals. In March we again have a number of events going on. Hope you can try to make one or all of them.

Your financial Secretary would appreciate if all dues would be paid. Also the club functions on this money, so let's get paid up!

Randy has Horse Races scheduled for Saturday, March 11. This event was a great hit at the New Years Eve Party. We will open betting tables at 7:30 P.M., first race is at 8:00 P.M. sharp. We are not charging any entrance fee for this event. Come down, have a blast and win some money.

The "Communion Breakfast" will take place Sunday, March 19 at the 9:30 A.M. Mass at St. Stan’s. A sign up sheet will be placed next week in the club room.

March 17 is St. Patrick's Day Watch the marquee. We will be serving corn beef and cabbage either Friday or Saturday of that week.

Super Bowl reservation board is now posted. First payment is due March 25. Final payment by the end of May.

On Saturday, April 1, we will have another $1,000 Cash Raffle and dinner. Tickets are only $25.00 per person. It's an all you can eat and drink affair. The last one was a great fund raiser for the club. Let's party and gamble a night away. Tickets are available at the bar or from any of the Board Members. Don't wait till the last week to purchase tickets. It drives your president wacky!

And finally, the sign up for the email list is at the bar. If you want to get on the list to have everything sent to your home or office, kindly tell us your email address, or Click Here To Email Us Your Email Address. Please include your name and email address.

From the President:

Dear Brothers,
I would like to thank all the members and their guests for supporting the club during my first year in office. Much was accomplished but yet needs to be done.

Our Hundredth anniversity is approaching and our constitution states that a historian needs to be appointed. Anyone interested in this position kindly contact myself or one of the board members.

I hope everyone is taking advantage of our $4.50 lunch specials. Randy is doing an excellent job on homemade pot roasr, meat load, beef sandwiches and other appetizing items. If your free at lunch and have a friend, your support will be appreciated.

Enclosed you will find a raffel ticket. The proceeds from this raffel will help support our Childrens' Christmas Party. As everyone is well aware of the cost of toys for our children is constantly rising. If possible please purchase this one ticket. The Childrens's party will take place on December 11th from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M.. Entertainment will be provided for the children.

We are also raffling away a number of 27" flat screen TV's before the holidays. Take a chance, you never know if you can win one unless you try.

New Years Eve party is already being planned. The 'Eyewitness Blues Team' will again provide the entertainment. Sign up at the clubroom bar. Cpst is $30 / couple or $20 / person. This event has been well supported the last few years so sign up early and advoid being left out on the 2006th year. Besides the music and food, special entertainment is being planned.

Elections will take place on December 15th from 8A.M. to 7:30 P.M.. Your 2005 dues must be paid and you must be a regular member to vote. 2006 is an important year so help chose the team that will lead your club.

Hopefully this will make our members more aware of the club fuctions and entertainment during the forthcoming year. If you have an email adress and want to receive the letter let us know. An email signup sheet will be posted at the bar.

Finally I would like to wish all the members and their fmilies Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May your year be filled with blessings and happiness.

Sincerely yours,
Gene Zarazee, President

From the Financial Secretary:
Your 2006 dues are now being collected. An envelope is enclosed in this letter for your convenience. Remember to place your name and address inside the flap so proper credit can be given. If you signed up a member and it was in the last two months, he will be brought into the club after the first of the year.

From the Sick Director: Attendance ar the rosaries for deceased members has improved. What better way for on to show their respect for a deceased member than by participation in this service.

Dear Brothers,

Hope everyone is starting to enjoy the warm weather and is in good health. Summer is upon us and many activities are being planned in the next months.

Everyone, by now, is aware of the fact that we have no more game room. Ideas to produce revenue would greatly be appreciated. If you have an idea and want to run an event please let a board member know or come to a monthly meting and present your idea. Our last adventure "A Day at the Races" was successful and a great time was had by all that attended. Plan not to miss the next one.

On Friday nights we have added an early bird special. A part of the menu is available at a lower cost from 4-5 P.M. Of course the entire menu is also offered at this time.

A Fathers Day Dinner is being planned on June 18, from 5-8 P.M. The menu will include Randy's famous salad bar and also strip steaks, fish and chicken. I know all dads cook on Sunday but let your family treat you on Saturday Night.

The next avent is our Summer Festival. It will take place on June 24, 25 and 26. We would appreciate the purchase of the raffel tickets which are 12/$10. A second ticket was added. Every member is already in the drawing at no cost. A $100 drawing will occur on Sunday at 3 P.M. The ticket will have to be present to win. Any family member or friend can claim the ticket as long as they are at least 18 years old.

Dear Brothers,

I would like to thank everybody that took the time to vote for candidates. The new officers were sworn in at the January meeting by Past President Tom Doperalski.

Progress has been made at the club this past year. Our centennial year is fast approaching and we need to continue to improve our fiscal well being by supporting our club and taking an active part in club events.

The Super Bowl party is approaching so plan on coming down to the clubroom and enjoy the game with your friends. All members on the Super Bowl Boards get free food and two drink tickets, other guest must pay $5.00.

The club had a very successful New Year's Eve Party and if you didn't make it you missed a very entertaining meeting. Pictures of the gala event are in the club room. You may take the pictures of your choice for your home photo albumn.

We are planning our annual Valentine's Day Dinner and Dance. Randy will again feature his famous Prime Rib. Lobster Tail, Orange Roughy, Salad bar with Shrimp and Desert will also be on the menu. We would like to make reservations for this occasion so you can be guaranteed your entree. Dinner is from 5 - 8 P.M. The evening dance will be from 9 - 1 A.M.

The next major event is Corporate Communion Breakfast. It will be held on Palm Sunday, March 20. We will attend mass at 9:00.

Breakfast will be at the clubroom after mass and our guest speaker will be Ken Schreiber. The Master of Ceremonies will be Phil Freese. Hopefully we can get as many members to attend as possible, so please sign up at the clubroom. If any member want to bring his boy to listen to Ken speak, feel free to do so but let us know when you sign up.

"It's Time To Tell It Like It Is." This past year has not been a very profitable one: To say the least, this administration has tightened our belt as far as we can. Our gaming room revenues are way down from previous years (60% or more) and our membership is not growing like it should. These two factors alone can cause financial problems! Gambling we can't control, but our membership we can! So we have instituted a membership drive. Any member that sponsors three new regular members in a year's time, receives one year free dues!

Our Friday Family Night Fish Fry is doing very well. We've shortened the menu but added several "Friday Night Specials". Our kitchen is open daily Monday thru Thursday - 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.; Friday's 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.; Saturday-11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; Sunday-Noon-5:00 p.m. during the NFL Football Season & Playoffs. We now feature Randy's Home Made Pizza - Come on Down!

Don't forget to sign-up your kids (Age 12 years and younger) for our Annual Kid's Christmas Party (Sunday, December 21). Children of regular and social members only; Committee-Dave Switzer, Todd Polita, & Doug Pawloski.

New Year's Eve Party will feature music by The Eyewitness Blues Team! Party favors, appetizers and champagne. $25.00 per couple, $15.00 per person cover charge, reservations suggested, Public

Dear Brothers:

In my presentation, I would like to report that our organization is alive, well and moving forward.

The newly acquired property next door should be resurfaced in the immediate future; however, the Executive Board still needs your approval to erect a storage building in the back portion of this property. The upstairs hall restrooms are also being remodeled to comply with Federal Handicap Standards.

Check out the new 62" digital enhanced television set in our clubroom, it is great! A big thanks to Mark Yagelski!

I would like to give a warm welcome to our new club and bar manager, Randy Dompke. He is doing a wonderful job. Keep up the good work Randy!

Dyngus Day 2000 was the most successful Dyngus Day ever and the biggest event for our club so far this year. We have one half of the year remaining to try and top it. A special thanks to Ed and Carol Hemczak for preparing the food.

Congratulations go out to Syl Yagelski. He was named this year's President's Man of the Year. This is well deserved by Syl.

We sincerely thank the efforts of Lefty Kazmucha, Ted Yagelski, John Wojcik, Jake Rapp, John Ziomek and Norm "Cubby" Kaiser for placing flags on the graves in memory of our deceased members for Memorial Day.

For your information, we still do have some squares remaining on the Third $100.00 Super Bowl 2001 Board. Remember....you asked for it so come on and sign up!

May 28, 1999
Dear Brothers:

We are nearing the midpoint of the year 1999 and preparing for the big turnover to 2000 and Y2K. The operation of the club has gone smoothly to this point thanks to the cooperation of the officers and membership. We still have a way to go to complete the year in a comfortable fashion.

The next big event will be the Polish Festival the weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday June 25-26-27. Enclosed in the mailing of this newsletter were raffle tickets for this event. They sell for $1.00 each or 12 for $10.00. The raffle is a large source of income for some of our larger club expenses throughout the year. We also have requests for the beef raffle again this year. You should have received 6 tickets and they are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Please purchase all of your tickets or offer them to your friends and neigbors...More tickets are available at the clubrooms. See any bartender. Don't forget we will need alot of help for this event: Set-Up, Bartenders, Electrical, Manning the Booths, Security, Clean-Up and Tear-Down, etc. there is a sign-up sheet in the clubroom near the bar for your convenience...be an active member and volunteer your services. Any amount of time donated will be appreciated. The festival promises to be fun for all; Adults and Children!!

All are invited to attend our big Fathers Day Dinner Dance on Saturday, June 19, 1999. Our menu will include T-bone steak, our popular seafood combo, and a stuffed pork chop. All this with the salad bar and desserts. We will be serving from 4:00 to 8:30 pm. Beginning at 8:30 pm, Jerry Tarka and the Midwest Sounds will be here for your listening and dancing pleasure. There also will be a gift for all the fathers attending. You won't want to miss this one!

We are in the process of changing our door card system, we make the change every few years and we have exhausted our supply of the red cards. We will be issuing new cards in late June and we will inform you of the exact date for the changeover.

See you all at the Fathers Day Dinner Dance and Polish Fest!
