HISTORY OF ST. JOSEPH'S
YOUNG MEN'S SOCIETY
St. Joseph Young Men's Society of Michigan City, Indiana was affiliated with St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. The Society was organized through the efforts of the Rev. John Kasprzykowski on September 20, 1906.
We are a society that was organized as a religious and social society, to promulgate the Roman Catholic faith amongst young men of the community, and to associate themselves as a group of men in sponsoring social functions in accordance with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. We also teach that organization, cooperation and reciprocity are better than rivalry, strife and self - destructive competition.
Our Society has both Regular and Social Members, and we are over 1,100 members strong.
